ST. GEORGE'S CLUB.

The St. George's Rowing Club had a muster of five crews for a set of trial fours for trophies donated by Messrs. Walker and Hall. The Tamaki Drive course was rowed, and the northerly wind raised a lively sea. The first heat crews were :—H. St. C. Brown. C. Dick, V. Leaning. C. Holmes: W. L. Carr. T. Kirk, G. Maffey, J. Hall; W. Hogg, B. Monds, V. Sanders, A. Goldfinch. - When the crews settled dowp, Hogg's crew took the lead, with little between the other. two. Hogg increased his advantage down the straight, to win by a good length, while Carr beat Brown for second place. The second heat crews were:—H. Tone, P. McNab, H. McHay, G. Matheson; C. Hilliard. J. Edmonds, W. Ryan, H3. Speddlng. Water conditions for this go were very rough. The crews were on level terms until passing Point ResoluHon, where Hilllard took the lead, to win by half a length. Final. —Hilliard's crew won by a length and a quarter.
