WELLINGTON HARBOUR BWIM
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Sunday. The Teck Shield harbour swimming race was held yesterday under ideal conditions. There were 60 starters, and 44 finished. The course was about pne mile and a halfCold was the chief trouble with most of the competitors, although the weather was fine. Team points, calculated by adding the placings of the first four men home in each team, were: Hutt, 22, 1 ; Maranui, 52. 2: Petone, 70, 3. Individual results :—H. Downs (Maranui), 53m 59s (handicap 14m), time 39m 595, 1; J. Duggan (Petone), 54m 83s (handicap 12m), time 42m 535, 2; D. Evans (Maranui), 56m 53s (handicap 19} m), time 37m 235, 3. The latter team made fastest time.
