RYAN BEATSN INTO THIRD PLACE. SYDNEY, February 21. TTt* American Olympic swimmer Jade Medlca convincingly won the 880 yds invitation international scratch race at the Olympic pool yesterday. The only starters were Medlca, Ryan and Biddulph. Medica took the lead at SSOyde, and went on to win by 10 yards. BUMutph caused surprise by finishing six yards ahead of Ryan. The American's time was lOtn "Jo 4-ss, obviously not his best.
