TOUR IN AUSTRALIA.
NEW ZEALANDERS RETURN. Members of a party of New Zealanders organised by Mr. A. J. Hesleliurst for a tour of parts of Australia returned to Wellington in the Awatea, and each of the 25 tourists spoke highly of the trip and the arrangements made for their reception and comfort in the Commonwealth. Leaving Wellington on December 21, the party reached Sydney on Christmas Eve. Christmas Day was spent in visits to several of Sydney's beaches. On Boxing Day a motor tour, covering 2;»00 miles, was begun, the itinerary includjng sightseeing in and around Sydney. On December 28 the party departed for Melbourne by way of well-known points of historic interest. Goulburn and Bathurst were visited during the journey to the Jenolan Caves and the Blue Mountains, where the majestic scenery was much admired. Going on to Newcastle the party was/shown over the vast steel works and the cathedral. Sydney was reached on January 14 and two pleasant days were spent there before the tour ended on Januarv 16.
