MILFORD SURF CLUB.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS. A year of good progress is recorded in the eleventh annual report of the Milford Surf and Life Saving Club. A team ! competed in the Auckland provincial championships at Ohope Beach and in the metropolitan championships at Piha. The club continued patrols throughout the summer and has agreed to patrol the new Milford swimming pool. During the winter a gymnasium was started, and the club hopes to recruit the lads in its life saving activities. The club lost the services of its club captain, Mr. F. Marriage, and vice-captain, Mr. S. Bacon, both being transferred to Wellington. Thanks are extended to the vice-presidents, business firms and others who helped the club to carry on.
