MEMORABLE YEAR.
CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE. Xot until 1009—33 years hence—will the congress of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of the British Empire be held again in Xew Zealand, according to the report of the executive of the Associated Chambers of Commerce of Xew Zealand, to be presented at the annual conference at Wellington on Friday. The year 1935-30 had been a memorable one in the history of the Chambers of Commerce movement in Xew Zea- i land, the report states, because of the Dominion being made the venue for the fourteenth congress. Held triennially. alternately in London and in one or another of the British Dominions, the congress took place in Xew Zealand for the" first time, and the occasion was doubly notable for the reason that IJ3 was tho jubilee year of the Empxie Federation.
