AILING MINISTERS.
LORD MAYORAL CEREMONY. British Official Wireless. (Received 12.30 p.m.) RUGBY, October 12. A statement issued regarding the illness of the Lord Chancellor, Viscount Ilailsham, says he is making an excellent recovery but floes not propose for the presemt to attend meetings of Cabinet. He expects to be able to resume his official duties in full at the end of the year. The Lord Chancellor's place was taken by the Lord Chief Justice, Lord Hewart, in a ceremony at the House of Lords conveying His Majesty's approval of the appointment of the new Lord Mayor of London, Sir George Broadbridge. Reports from Zurich, where the Secretary for Scotland, Sir Godfrey Collins, has been ill in a nursing home, state that he is gradually losing strength.
