TALLOW, HEMP, EGGS. HIGH COMMISSIONER'S CABLE. The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated October 10, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London: — Tallow. —Market continues quiet on the spot, with prices unchanged except mutton, fine, 6d to 1/ lower for shipments. Small business has been done at slightly easier prices. Hemp.—Manila: Market steady; generally sound and firm. K grade for OctoberDecember shipments quoted buyers at £26. Sisal: Market firmer and more active on reported large sale of Mexican October shipments to U.S.A. African: October-Deccmber shipments quoted £26 10/: January-March shipments sold at £26 12/6. New Zealand: Firmer tones; small business reported. Fair OctoberDecember shipments, £19 15/. Eggs.—Market steady: English supplies short; prices slightly higher. English, national pack, 18 6 to 22/: English, ordinary pack, 18/6 to 19/3: Danish, 12/3 to 14/; Australian, 11/ to 12/9.
