LEAGUE OF MOTHERS.
S ANDRIN GHAM. The monthly meeting of the above blanch was held recently in the Presbyterian Hall, Balmoral Road, when Mr Wright presided over an attendance of about 100. A successful flower show was held and the hall presented a delightful spectacle with the manv entries of bowls and vases of stocks tulips, irises, Iceland poppies, wisteria, lilac and pansies. Mr. R. S. Whiilev acted as judge, and later gave a talk 011 gardening and decorated a bowl The f«Wp C, M WC "p at ß , f °llows:—Decorated table, Mis. 1. Mark wick 1, Mrs. Dilbv jun., 2; bowl of flowers, Mrs. Crumbleyvase, Mrs. E. Smith; basket, Mrs. Averybox, Mrs. Miles; posy, Mrs. Spicer; shoulder spray, Mrs. Crumbley; bridal sheaf, Mrs. Miles; pot plant, Mrs. J. E Wilson; pot plant, flowering, Mrs Avery. Mrs. John Russell acted as convener of the flower show. Mrs. Walpole sang severa! songs and Mrs. Wilson gave the thought for the month." The brin"and buy stall, with Mrs. May in charge*, was well patronised.
