HOLY TRINITY CHURCH.
NEW VICAR FROM NAPIER.
The Rev. Bertram Reginald Brierley, vicar of St. Andrew's Church, Port Ahuriri, Napier, has been appointed vicar of the Holy Trinity Church, Devonport. Mr. Brierley's first appointment in New Zealand was that of assistant curate of St. Augustine's Church, Napier. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1923 by the Bishop of Waiapu, and in the following year he was appointed vicar to the large country parish of Porangahau in the diocese of Waiapu. He held that position until 1930, whan he took over the one he ie about to relinquish. Mr. Brierley was born in Leicester, and was educated at St. Paul's Missionary College, Burgh, Lincolnshire. He was ordained for service abroad by the Bishop of Lincolnshire in 1921.
