POSTING OF LETTERS
SUGGESTION BY THE MAYOR
The Mayor of Auckland, Mr. Ernest Davis, has communicated with Mr. F. W. Schramm, M.P., asking him to bring to the notice of the Postmaster-General the advisability of rearranging the letter posting boxes at the Chief Post Office so that they will be on the level of the street and occupy a position where some of the telephone booths now stand. Mr. Davis has stated that it lia* occurred to him that the change may be made during the present renovations at. the Chief Post Office. It would be convenient and save the public the present necessity of climbing up steps when posting letters.
