TWO MOTORISTS FINED.
(By Telegraph.—l'ress Association.) WELLINGTON, this tlay. The first offence in Wellington under the new Motor Vehicles Amendment Act was dealt with by Mr. R. E. Ferner, S.M., to-day, when Hannah Mary Ellis was charged with driving between a moving tram and two City Council employees wheeling a handcart, which was struck, knocking down one of the men. A line of 20/ was imposed. Raymond Allen was charged with not showing reasonable consideration for others and was also • fined 20/. He sounded his horn and started to pull out from the kerb, striking a stationary cyclist. :
