HON. W. NASH LEAVES.
MISSION TO OLD COUNTRY. The Hon. Walter Nash, Minister of Finance and Marketing, left Auckland this afternoon by the Aorangi, bound for London, where he will conduct negotiations for the marketing of New Zealand's produce. He left in an atmosphere of good fellowship, farewellcd by a large circle of friends, and with cheers from the wharf as their parting gesture. He was a fellow passenger with Mr. F. G. L. Bertram, deputy-director of Civil Aviation in England, and was accompanied by Mrs. Nash, and by his secretarial staff, Mr. T. R. Aieken, Dr. W. B. Sutcli, Messrs. G. A. Pascoe, P. J. D. Johnsen, and Miss M. Armitage. The Mayor, Mr. Ernest Davis, and a large number of personal friends, went on board the liner before she departed, and bouquets were presented to Mrs. Nash and the other women members of the party.
