THE INDUSTRIES BILL.
GOVERNMENT DETERMINED. PLEDGE OF MANUFACTURERS. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. A caucus of the . Government party to-day decided that the Industrial Efficiency Bill should be passed this session, with amendments. Subsequently a deputation representing all the manufacturers' associations of the Dominion waited C)ii the Minister o£ Industries and Commerce, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan. The proceedings were private, but the Minister stated subsequently that, while it had not been possible for him to make all the amendments to the bill that manufacturers asked for, a complete agreement was reached 011 vital matters. Each of the associations pledged itself to give its whole-hearted support to the amended bill.
