TAKANINI HORSES.
INVER SPRINTS FAST. The middle grass, with the poles Bft out, was in excellent order for training at Takanini this morning, while the plough was also in use. On the Grass. Warwick Lad impressed more than the Drolatique filly over five furlongs in 1.6. | Wait .and See was allotted six furlongs, completing the distance in 1.23. He was ■joined at the three by the Lysander geldi ing, but Wait and See was too good for | the latter. Dutiful and Yerrapie worked pleasingly over five furlongs in 1.4 3-5. High Sea was two lengths in front of !Silver Glow' at the conclusion of three furlongs in 41 3-ss. Palustre hit out boldly over half a mile in 525, the last three taking 38s. Gay Talkie was allotted strong work brushing down the straight. Latharna and Kaiwaka completed six furlongs in 1.20. Elanage beat Love Parade by two lengths over half a mile, but they were not timed. On the Plough/ Inver jumped away two lengths in front of Valamito at the six-furlong post and although they finished together in 1.18 3-5, Inver was doing the better at the end. Ebb and Flow and Lapis Lazuli reeled off half a mile in 545, Ebb and Flow having the advantage at the close. Nun Nicer, after beginning slowly, covered six furlongs in 1.20'3-5. Over a similar distance Surella registered 1.19, doing his work well. Merry Lap and Lord Willonyx were sent a round, while Benighted was given similar work.
