Injury in Fight With Rebels Surprises Parents. NEWS READ IN PAPER. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The last news which his parents had of Eric N. Griffiths, who was wounded in an aerial flight with Spanish rebel 'planes, was that lie had entered the British Army. He had his 21st birthday in the Antarctic and his 23rd in Spain. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Griffiths, of Eastbourne. The first intimation of tlieir son's adventure came as a surprise. Mr. Griffiths was riding in an Eastbourne bus and after reading the newspaper account of the Spanish war passed the paper to a companion. "Is this your son who has been wounded in Spain?" the reader asked. "I don't think so," said Mr. Griffiths, who had overlooked the cable concerning his son. TW»n he looked and found it was.
