PUSH ON MADRID.
Combined Attack by Rebels On Capital. STRONG GOLD MEASURES. (Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, October 4. Both the northern and southern rebel armies, says a British United Press correspondent at Toledo, which is now in rebel hands, are preparing for an immediate, great "push" on Madrid, using five of the seven main roads to the capital. The President, Senor Azana, issued a decree placing an embargo on export of gold and silver and imposing Government control on all banks. Also, citizens must surrender within a week all gold and foreign bonds and currency in their possession.
