GERMANY'S PERIL
Hitler's Latest Tirade Against Bolshevism. NATIONS SHOULD CONFER. (Received 9.30 a.m.) BERLIN, October 4. Herr Hitler, addressing 500,000 peasants at Bueckeberg Hill, attacked those who resented official price-fixing. He said Germany lay in the midst of a menacing, threatening world. If Europe sank into Bolshevism nobody would help Germany, the decline of whose harvest, even by 20 per cent, would be a catastrophe. It was necessary for the nations to gel together, added the Fuehrer. SPEEDILY BUILT. NEW GERMAN BATTLECRUISER. WILHELMSHAVEN, October 4. Germany's largest post-war battleship, the Scharnhorst, was launched yesterday, far in advance of schedule, iu which connection the Government congratulated the builders. The launching took place in the presence of Herr I%,tler. The vessel is of 28,000 tons and will carry nine 11-inch guns, a significant fact about which is that all will be mounted forward. General von Blomberg, Minister of Defence, said the vessel was the first fruit of the Anglo-German naval understanding.
