GERMAN CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING HELD. The annual meeting of the German Club (Auckland), Inc., was held in the club rooms and presided over by Mr. A. R. Leuschke, the president, who thanked the members for the support accorded to him during the year. He pointed out that the new club rooms had been established and that there had been an increase of 12 in the membership. Mr. Leuschke then nominated Mr. W. J. McMillan as president, who was unanimously elected. On taking the chair Mr. McMillan first thanked the German members in German, and pointed out that the good feeling existing in the club was evinced by the unanimous desire of the German meinbers to have an English president for a term; also that whilst the German Club would welcome at any time visitors of any nationality, the particular object of the club was to cement the friendship existing between those of German and British nationality.

The following were elected to the executive: —President, Mr. W. J. McMillan, J.P.; vice-presidents, Messrs. A. R. Leuschke and'P. Miller; secretary,. Mr. M. Grapengiesser; treasurer, Mr. K. W. Schmidt; librarian, Mr. J. Blumhardt; executive members, Messrs. H. Engel, 0. Hagen, C. Hubrich, W. Kersten; emergency committee, Messrs. J. H. Buckland, G. Belin, E. Langguth, G. Rcimann; auditor, Mr. H. Rice.
