WIDE MARGIN OF VOTES. (IJy Telegraph. —Press Association.) CARTERTON, Friday. The result of the Mayoral election held yesterday is:—D. L. Taverner, 602 votes; R. SI. Gunri (the Labour candidate), 170 votes. ' There are still' 149 declaration votes to count, but these cannot affect the result.
