AUCKLAND. The usual monthly meeting of the Auckland branch of the W.D.F.U. took the form of a social afternoon and was hold at the home of Mrs. A. Turner, Birdwood Crescent, Parnell.' Mrs. J. T. F. Mitchell presided.
A delightful programme of vocal and instrumental music had been arranged by Mrs. E. Barrett, the opening number heing a pianoforte solo by Madam Dunne. Following were two songs by Moureen Barber. Miss Peggy and Mary Cruickshank gave a humorous sketch, which was much enjoyed. Madam Milburn rendered two delightful numbers. The accompaniments were played by Madam Dunne and Mrs. Harper-White. Madam Dunne was the winner of the dream competition, and Mrs. Jordon the hidden number.
