BOYS' CLOTHING.
With reference to correspondence in the "Star" regarding boys' clothing, one would gain the impression from the doctor's statements that we ai - e living in a place akin to the frozen wastes of' Northern Canada instead of a temperate climate such as we enjoy. Recently I overheard an American visitor say that he thought ' the clothing worn by the Xew Zealand boys had a smart appearance, especially mentioning the Grammar School uniform, and he also noticed that the boys' were of a sturdy, well-built type. I am afraid the doctor will have a hopeless task if he thinks that we are going to revert to the old-fashioned unhygienic type of boys' clothing worn about thirty or forty years ago. Even now one feels sympathy for .the boys whose parents insist in absurdly dressing them like little men several years before they have passed oiit of the best period of their life —• boyhood—instead of clothing them as a typical Xew Zealand boy. . AXOTHER BOY.
