NEW LINER AWATEA.
SAILS FROM THE CLYDE. i DUE WELLINGTON SEPTEMBER 3. v The Union Company's new 14,000-ton liner Awatea, specially built for the passenger service between Auckland and Wellington and Sydney, left the Clyde at 10.30 a.m. yesterday.
The liner is in charge of Captain R. H. Davey and is coming to New Zealand via Curacao and Panama. She is due to arrive at Wellington on Thursday, September 3.
The Awatea is scheduled to leave Wellington on September 15 and Auckland on September 18 for Sydney.
