JARVIS V. BLATCH.
CHALLENGE NOT IN ORDER. (Received 1.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The New Zealand liglit-wcight boxing champion, Jack Jarvis, has challenged the Australian light-weight champion. A}f Blatch, for the championship of Australia and New Zealand.
The "Daily Telegraph" states: "This is an unique challenge as only Australian titles are recognised here. Jarvis has not been in Australia for the requisite period of six months to enable liim to challenge for the Australian title, but he is so anxious to meet Match under championship conditions that he issued this challenge. Since his arrival in Australia Jarvis has rapidly forced his way to the front."
