INCREASED RETURNS.
SHARP RISE FOR JULY. THIRTY-SIX DWELLINGS. Building permits to the value of £80,325, were issued by the Auckland City Council for the month of July, compared with £35,690 in the same month last year. The permits for July of this year include 36 dwellings, one factory, one store, one warehouse, and additions to stores and fiats. The figures for the seven months' period of this year reveal greatly increased building activity in the city area, compared with the same period of last year. The complete figures are: — 1930. 1935.
