PRINTING TRADES.

CONCILIATION PROCEEDINGS. NO AGREEMENT YET. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Friday. ■ An intimation that the employees will not give way on any of the conditions contained in the award in operation in 1931 was given by the assessors for the New Zealand Printing and Related Trades' Industrial Association of Workers in a conciliation council to-day. The ' discussion" this "morning centred around machinery clauses. A clause in the old award relating to the guarantee of hours for pieceworkers was approved. In the afternoon it was decided, on the suggestion of the employees' representatives, that each party should form a committee of four to consider wages and other points in dispute and report back to the full council.
