ST. MARY'S HOMES.
•To secure funds for St. Mary's Homes, Otaliuhu, the annual winter fair will bo held in the Town Hall concert chamber on Wednesday, June 17. Beginning in a little-cottage in Parnell, and continuing for over 30 years oil the present site at Otaliuhu, St. Mary's Homes have carried 011 the work of helping the young unmarried mother. St. Mary's is not merely a convenience in time of necessity, but a real home where girls remain for six months. Training in mothercraft is given, and this period of influence and training is not only for the benefit of the mothers, but also for the good of the little ones who start life with a handicap. Although St. Mary's is a Church of England home, its doors are open to all denominations, whose girls share the same privileges and benefits. To carry on this work a considerable amount of money is required. The winter fair is one of the ways in which help can be given to support the wonderful work.
