CROQUET CLUBS
MANGERE EAST. A successful card evening was held by the members of the Mangere East Croquet Club in the bowlers', pavilion last week. Thc president, Mrs. W. W. Massey, welcomed tlie guests, and afterwards presented the trophies to the winners as follows: —Five hundred, Mrs. Howe and Mr. Blandford; bridge, Mrs. Bray and Mr. Trfylor.

Grainger, Targett, J. Court and M. Speakman. MOUNT ALBERT. A liappy time was spent in beautiful sunshine on Friday when the membership of the club entertained friends at a progressive day to mark the closing of the greens for this season. The president, Mrs. W. Forsyth, extended a welcome to the visitors and presented the prizes to the winners as follow: —A: Mrs. Scott; hidden number, Mrs. Wh'tfiekl; consolation, Mrs. Percy. B: Mrs. Willey; hidden number, Mrs. Watson; consolation, Mrs. Hicks. Among those present were: Mesdames W. Forsyth, McGill (president, Auckland Croquet Association), D.
