CORPORAL PUNISHMENT.
A point which I do not think has been touched upon in the letters appearing in your columns against corporal punishment iu the schools is tho habit of teachers hitting the children over the heads with their hands or rulers and in eome cases pushing thorn and twisting their ears. This must have very far-reaching results and should bo stamped out. If the parents would inako inquiries from their children and the Minister of Education was approached through the school committee I feel sure he would take stepe to see that the children in future were not subjected to this treatment.
