GRAFTON BRIDGE.
May I suggest that while the proposed widening alterations are in progress on Grafton Bridge our City Council take advantage of this opportunity to erect a suitable barrier along the deeper portion, and so prevent the suicides in this particular part of out locality. Of course I know that if a man with suicidal tendencies has decided to take his life, lie will probably achieve his ambition in someway, but why provide this particular type of unfortunate with such a place as this deep unfenced portion of Grafton Bridge? Are not the residents of this locality—numbers of whom are sensitive women—also not deserving of some procection from these unpleasant occurrences? A.B.
