CHAIRMAN'S HOPE.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DARGAVILLE, this day. At the annual meeting of the North Auckland Power Board to-day the chairman, Mr. J. A. McLean, stated that it was hoped to have electric current available by December next. Good progress was being made with the reticulation and wiring work. The board had raised a loan of £297,00(1, through the A.M.P. Society, at 3J per cent, over a period of 24 year*. Members congratulated Mr. McLean on the thoroughness of hio report, and i tie was re-elected chairman unopposed.
