FOXTON-MADE WOOL PACKS
UPPER HOUSE ALLEGATIONS.

An allegation that influential interests were at work with a view to deriding the success of Foxton wool packs was made by the Hon. Mark Fagan when speaking in the Legislative C- 0 """ 1 during the debate on the Employment Promotion Bill. . .. The Hon. R. Masters (raranaki) su"°ested that Foxton wool packs had not"been officially approved by Braclf°llei)lying, Mr. Fagan said that it had been proved that Foxton wool packs were the best in the world, and it had to remembered that they were manufacture under much better conditions San jute packs were in India. "Already the Government has discovered that certain jute interests are -using their power of wealtl.-the power that >« always used by monopolists—to try .and strangle young industries in a country that they hive been used to serving, lie said/ "Propaganda is being spread that Foxton packs ore slightly inferior to jute packs. I know that w l not'succeed, for steps will be taken to protect tliat little industry. Test* satisfy us that Foxton packs will stand up to any jute manufactured any part of the world.'
