TRAMPING CLUB DINNER.

A bright farewell dinner party was o-iven on Wednesday night at the Cottage Tea Rooms, Sh.ortland Street, by members of the Arahura Tramping Club for Miss Bertha Strand, thenpopular secretary, and her sister Mabel, who are leaving for Australia by the Monterey. The club's rangitira, Mr. Walter Sinden, presented Miss B. Strand with a handsome pen and pencil set, also a life member's tiki, and wished the guests of honour the best of luck in their new sphere. Other speakers included Messrs. Gordon Young, C. Edgerley, H. Staton, D. Gladding, and w" Ushakoff. Among the ladies present were: Misses B. and M. Strand, M. Howitt, E. Jones, M.
