EDEN'S GREAT OPENING. Parnell Bowlers Defied —Centuries by Mills and Postles —Other Games Patchy.
The first day's play this afternoon in the third series of A.C.A. senior matches was distinguished by an opening partnership of 274 ruii3 by Mills and Postles, each of whom scored a century, against Parnell at Eden Park. King's Old Boys also started well against University at Papatoetoe, but later slumped badly. In the other games Y.M.C.A. and Grafton batsmen did not score so freely.
