Y.W.C.A. CONCERT.
A splendid concert was given on Saturday evening in the assembly hall of the Y.W.C.A. by a very clever band of juveniles, who kept a large audience well entertained. The items were °f a high standard, and reflected great credit on Mrs. Bethune McConncll, who trained the children. Items were contributed as follow: Sword dance and Irish jig, Miss Esma Nodder; step dances, Miss Joyce Stewart; Spanish dance, Altliea Preston; Eastern dance, Miss V. Harrington; hornpipe, Miss Basliam; clog dance, Joan Morris; Russian dance, Joan Read; recitations, Phyllis Manson, Audrey Cook; duo, Miss Beresford's pupils; "Hush, Hush, the Bogy Man," was given by Misses Dreaver, E. and S. Nicholson and V. Robertson; a pretty playette entitled "A Child's Dream of the Fairies" was acted in a creditable manner by the children; musical monologues were given by Miss S. Mowbray and several choruses and dances were rendered by the company. Mr. A. J. StallwOrthy, M.P., was ..: present, and spoke a few "words of thanks. Mrs. Forrest acted as pianist' and Mrs. Hynes as announcer. The proceeds were in aid of the campaign fund."
