NEW WOMEN'S CLUB.
A _ largely-attended and enjoyable husbands' evening was held in the New Women's Club rooms on Tuesday last. The two plays presented by the drama circle of the club at the recent Drama League contests were repeated. "When the Whirlwind Blows," which gained third place in recent contests, was presented as the opening play, those taking part being Miss Reta MacCullay Stone, Mrs. Beta Forrest and Mrs. D. McDonald. The next play was the "Patchwork Quilt," and those taking part were Mrs. Tate, Mrs. Schripper, Misses Ailsa Coleman, Betty Brook. Cartier, Mr. J. H. Sharp. During the evening violin solos were-rendered by Miss Craig, and songs were given by Mr. Robert Kiddy. Accompaniments were played by Mrs. Harper White and Miss Craig. A competition, "A Wireless Mail," was won by Mrs. Jellard.
