BOATING CLUB DANCE.
FUNCTION AT BAYSWATER. Decorated with balloons and flags, the clubhouse of the Takapuna Boating Club presented an attractive sight last evening, when a dance was given by the commodore, flag officers and committee. The club colours, blue and gold, were much in evidence in the supper room, where flowers in gay colours also made a bright display. The commodore, Mr. V. Broughton, and Mrs. Broughton received the guests, the latter wearing a frock of black marocain and a coatee of embossed georgette. The ladies of the committee present were: Mrs. H. A. White, who wore lacquer red Cliantilly lace; Mrs. H. Carr, black taffeta} Mrs. M. J. F. Connelly, Burgundy shaded satin; Mrs. G. Hollie'r, black lace; Mrs. K. 11. Kirkliam, sea green crepe with silver thread; Mrs. J. I!. Williamson, black lace; Mrs. E. Scott, peacock green satin; Miss M. Williamson, pervenche bluo taffeta; Miss Joy Verran, ciel blue plaid taffeta; Miss D. Lewis, patterned taffeta.
