HOCKEY.
HAURAKI PLAINS LADIES. (By Telegraph.-—Own Correspondent.) THAMES, this day. The executive committee of the Hauraki Plains Ladies' Hockey Association met at Ngatea, Miss L. McDonald (Kaihere) presiding. A motion of sympathy with the association's president. Mr. J. H. Nicholson, of Kerepeelii, in his illness was carried. Miss M. Beaver was granted a transfer from Waitakarurn to C.O.G. (Thames). The Kopuarahi Club forwarded £5, the proceeds of the dance. Jfc was decided to inquire from the Auckland Ladies' Hockey Association whether the Plains Association was eligible to enter a team for the New Zealand championships, the team to be augmented from neighbouring associations if required. It was also decided to present the trophies won during the season at a dance arranged by" the Ngatea Club, to be held on November 5.
