SUNDAY SCHOOL JUBILEE.
CELEBRATION AT MT. EDEN. Tlio silver jubilee of the Mount Eden Presbyterian Sunday school was celebrated by special services which were conducted last Sunday morning and evening by the Rev. E. J. Tipler, and in the afternoon by the Rev. J. W. Shaw. A special feature was the singing of a large choir of children under the leadership of Mr. A. G. McKenzie.
On Wednesday evening a social reunion of past and present teachers was hold in the Sunday school hall, Mr. Tipler presiding. Among those present were the Rev. j. W. Shaw, first minister of the church, and Messrs. J. H. Reyburn. S. E. Chappell, E. T. O. Downard and S. Falls, all former superintendents. Interesting reminiscences of the school's history, from its beginning in the Masonic TTall, Woodside Road, in September, 1010. were related.
A duct by Messrs. B. Eyres and E. Gaily, and a one-act play by Messrs B. Richmond and J. McGregor formed part of the programme.
