CANADIAN PLANTER.
CARGO FROM MONTREAL. The Canadian National Lino steamer Canadiau Planter, 5399 tons, Captain B. W. C. Manning, which is discharging newsprint and general cargo at Prince's wharf from Montreal, had a fine weather passage down the eastern seaboard to Panama and across the Pacific. Nearing New Zealand a hard westerly gale was met with, which delayed the vessel by half a day. Captain Manning's officers are: Mr. A. Wildin? chief. Mr. R. Meldram second, Mr. Geo. McKay third. The chief, engineer is Mr: J. Maheu, Mr. F. L. Drinkwater second, Mr. A. Norris third, Mr. C. H. Phillips fourth. Mr. H. M. Murphy is wireless operator The Canadian Planter is expected to leave for Wellington this evening.
