Entries for the Dominion tournament of the New Zealand Women's Hockey Association, which begins at Gisborne on August 30, have been received from Auckland, Poverty Bay (two teams), ltuahine, Akitio, Bush, Wairarapa, Wellington, Marlborough, Canterbury, Ashburfon, South. Otago, Eastern Southland and .Southland. Draw for first day : —A section : Poverty Buy v. Eastern Southland, Canterbury V. Southland, Maryborough v. Auckland, Bush a bye. B section: Wuiranipa v. Ruahlne, Wellington v, Ashburton, South Otago v. Poverty Bay B, Akitio a bye. RODNEY DEFEATS WESLEY. The Wesley Indies' senior grade hockey team journeyed to Matukuna. during the week-end for the annual match with a ten in representing the Rodney Indies' Hockey Association. Good positional play a rid more forceful offensive tactics gave the Rodney team an ensy victory by !) goals to nil, the scorers being Misses E. Dunning (fi), M. Booth, E. Gubb, Y. Jones and E. Mclntosh. The. shield competed for was handed over to the Rodney Association at a dinner held after the match.
