SURPLUS OF £25,358.
WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL. REDUCTION IN RATES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A surplus of £25,358 for the year ended March. 31, wae disclosed in tbc financial statement presented by tho City Council at its meeting last night. It was decided to reduce rates by threeeighths pence in the pound. They will be just under seven pence in the pound.
