Debt services cost £9,780,028, compared with £10,397,332. Interest paymerite amounted to £8,023,812, as against £8,830,407 in 1933-34. Administration and management cost £117;732, as compared witli £01,04.-). Payments under the Repayment of Public Debt Act, 192;"), section 11, totalled £1,578,293, compared with £1,392,257. Under the heading grants and subsidies, the payment of a proportion of the totalisator ctnty to racing clubs amounted to £27,289, the amount in the preceding year being £26,404. The contribution toward the cost of the Singapore naval base was again £100,000. Highways Expenditure. .
