CHURCH MEETING.
POINT CHEVALIER. The vicar, Rev. W. H. Rattray, presided at the annual meeting of parishioners of the Church of the Ascension, Point Chevalier. The report referred to a steady increase in church attendance and a record number at the Sunday school. The church was represented on the local relief committee, and good work had been done. The mothers' union had increased its activities during the year. The following officers were elected: — People's warden, Mr. G. F. Partridge: vicar's warden, Mr. H. V. Hampton; vestry, Messrs. W. J. Paddy, C. Betteridge, R. H. Jeffrey. G. J. Yates. C. T. B. Le Grys, J. D. Hall. M. P. Hooper, A. E. Mills, G. Bell, F. H. Philpott.
