CARLTON CROQUET CLUB.
The president, Mrs. Hamilton, presided over the annual meeting of the Carltoii Croquet Club held recently. The annual report and ' balance-sheet both showed that the club had had a very .successful vear. Groat satisfaction was felt- at the last big effort of the club, the result being the final payment of debentures. It was stated that Mrs. Perry had offered to donate another large windowon tho lower side of the pavilion. This offer was received with acclamation. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr. Perry, who has audited the books for 21 years.
The electioli of officers resulted: President, Mrs. Hamilton; vice-presi-dents. Mesdames Perry, Shields. Laurie, nnd Davey; honorary secretary, Mrs. Dukes; treasurer, Mrs. Wileon; match committee, Mesdames Perry, Schubert, l'etrie. Baker, and Miss Keatley; general committee. Mesdnmes Savin, Maiden, Bridges, Sykes, and Cole: tea committee, Mesdames Bridges and Sykes; green committee, Mesdames Buckle, Hamilton, and George; card committee, Mesdames Perry, Laurie, Baker, Dukes, and Miss Shroff; delegates to Auckland Association, Mesdames Hamilton. Dukes, and Mil's Keatley. Mrs. Hamilton presented trophies to the successful players of the season.
