TAWHIRI CLUB.
At the last gathering of the Tawhiri Social Progressive Club, On" Tree Hill, held on Tuesday evening, slides portraying scenery, cities, buildings and industries of Canada were shown and explained by V.r. C. M. Croft. Canadian Trade Commissioner. The slides, which >were coloured, gave a I'omnrehensive idea of tho groat Dominion. The thanks of the audience to tho lecturer was conveyed by Mr. J. E. Coan, the president of the flub. Nominations for the various offices of the club were received for the purpose of tho elections to take place at the annual meeting.
