LARGE LANDSLIDE.
TAUMARUNUI ROAD BLOCK.
tCy Telegraph.—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Thursday. Torrential rainfall in southern and eastern Taranaki and through to the Main Trunk area last night and this morning caused some damage to the roads. A large landslip in the Tangarakau Gorge blocked the road to Tauinaruniii. which will not be reopened for two days. Rivers in South Taranaki are running very high. In one case the water is flowing over the main road bridge south of Hawera The floods are subsiding to-night.
