HOLIDAY ABROAD.
VICE-REGAL SECRETARY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Sir Cecil Day, official secretary to the Governor-General, who came to New Zealand 23 years ago as assistantprivate secretary to Lord Islington, has been granted leave of absence in order to visit England. Ho will leave with Lady Day on May 10, and expects to be absent from the Dominion until the end of the year.
