GLEN EDEN AFFAIRS.
« A deputation from the. Western Suburbs Returned Soldiers' Association waited on the Glen Eden Town Board re the provision of work for Glen Eden returned men. Mr. Wise, president, said the association would provide the wages and requested the Town Board to arrange the work, preferably something of a permanent and useful nature. The board promised co-operation, and the works committee was instructed to prepare a scheme to be submitted for the association's approval. It was decided to advertise for competitive designs for an up-to-da+e public, hall and offices building to provide accommodation for dances, concerts and pictures. Action taken for recovery of rates in arrear is to be rigidly adhered to.
