THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL.
FAREWEIXED AT DUNEDIN. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUISTEDIN, Tuesday. The Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, and Lady Bledisloe were accorded a civic farewell in the Town Hall this evening, there being an attendance of almost 3000. Lord Bledisloe was presented with a valedictory address by the Mayor, the Rev. E. T. Cox, who emphasised the distinguished services of his Excellency, to the Dominion. The Governor-General expressed appreciation of the warmth of the reception and his regret at leaving New Zealand. At an earlier function Lord Bledisloe was presented with an address by the Rev. J. H. Ha slam, president of the Methodist Conference, now in session in Dunedin, on behalf of the Methodist Church of New .Zealand.
